KATE-LOIS ELLIOTT: Gentrif*cked

British Writers’ Guild Awards nominee Kate-Lois Elliott tells stories that are self-deprecating and (according to a drunk man at the Fringe) unexpectedly profound.

Gentrif*cked - a work in progress - is a debut show about finding your purpose. Join Kate on a journey through village life, thirty-something existential crises and finding belonging without joining a cult... (specifically not like her grandma did).

It’s a show about finding your purpose when everything around you feels like it’s descending into chaos. It’s about different generations and how we all end up asking the same questions. It’s about wanting the simple things VS wanting to be Beyoncé (there’s only one Beyoncé!). And it’s about the extreme measures people will go through to feel like they belong.

The show sold out at the Crypt at VAULT Festival, Watford Palace Theatre, Brighton, Camden and Faversham Fringes.
